PROJECT OVERVIEW

Objective:

Design a virtual environment to replicate the experience of in-person events for the "Walk To End Alzheimers".

Details:

In response to the outbreak of COVID across the United States in 2020, the Alzheimer’s Association (ALZ) decided to create an entirely virtual experience to replace their in-person events. This project focused on designing the UX to:

  • Incorporate all of the elements of the in-person walks
  • Create a flow that resembled the experience of walking through an event
  • Allow person-to-person interaction, presentations, and additional interactive elements
  • Customization of the experience to accommodate hundreds of local events throughout the country

In addition to the UX, this project required an innovative interface to “create the environment”, and the solution had to be packaged in a way so that it could be leveraged for hundreds of different events, run by different people, with unique expereinces for each.
